Through this process, members contribute to advancing the field and driving positive change in the Society. This year’s election will begin on 12 August and end on 16 September 2024. Participating in IEEE Elections
The IEEE Annual Election period is starts in August and ends in October. Though anyone may submit a nomination for an IEEE position, only those who are members may cast a vote. Explore the links below to learn who this year's candidates are and how to participate.

More About our Board of Governors
Elected volunteers bring our community’s vision to life! The Society has accomplished major milestones with the assistance and guidance of their leadership.
Amongst these highlights include holding diversity and inclusion as a top priority and increasing the Society’s contribution to the Diversity & Inclusion Fund to $1M as of 2024. Additionally, the Emerging Tech Grants Program supports projects using emerging technologies to benefit humanity. Reports such as the “Future of Workforce” demonstrated the success of a highly collaborative effort, which detailed changes within the computing industry's workforce development. Lastly, holding panels at the Consumer Technology Association Conference and organizing initiatives via the Sustainability Ad Hoc position the Society at the forefront of technological discussion.
